Seeing John Mark McMillan in Chicago was hands down one of my favorite concerts EVER. Loop this.
The Mission celebrated its 2nd birthday recently. We're thankful we get to call this our church and be a part of what He's doing on the North Shore.

Thanks to the overwhelmingly awesome response to the Daisy Love shirt, we were able to send $22,000+ to the Daisy Merrick Trust. On behalf of The Mission and us, MAHALO NUI LOA!
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.” -Ephesians 3:20-21 (NLT)

We are in awe of the love of Jesus toward Daisy and the Merrick family through the overwhelming generosity and support of so many of you. At the end of September 2012, we not only met but exceeded our fundraising goal for Daisy’s care and medical treatment. Praise God! We appreciate each one of you and every gift both big and small. I had the pleasure of spending a week in Chicago for Group's KIDMIN12 conference. A few of us from The Mission were able to get inspired and stoked up to serve in children's ministry. Here are some photos from the trip:

•Visited the Art Institute of Chicago. Butch admiring the original American Gothic piece & a rather large Monet.
Gungor performing at KIDMIN12. They put on an amazing show and are extremely talented musicians.
•Spent hours walking around downtown Chicago. Butch at Cloud Gate ("The Bean") in Millennium Park.
•Buckingham Fountain and authentic Chicago grinds from Al's.
•Toured Soldier Field, home of the Bears. View from the Skyline Suite.
•Got to catch a John Mark McMillan and Jude Moses show at Soul City Church

Cheers, from the Windy City!
We've got some stuff to give away! Just follow us on Instagram (@hegreaterthani) and watch for a new weekly challenge. We'll be picking one winner each week for the next couple of months. Be sure to tag your photos with #hegreaterthani to make them eligible for the competition. First assignment is coming real soon!

One of my favorite snaps from visiting NYC last year. This alley was in walking distance from Ground Zero. Wandering the streets of this extremely resilient city is something everyone should experience. Our prayers go out to the families and service members who lost loved ones on 9/11, and to those that serve our country by defending our freedom.
