Bethany Hamilton is Second

I've always been a fan of I Am Second and I was super stoked to see that this video happened. Bethany is such an inspirational friend and we're excited for everything she has going on right now. Soul Surfer hits theaters on April 8th, so mark your calendars and go watch it!

John Mark McMillan | How He Loves: A Story

John Mark McMillan's heartfelt story behind the popular song "How He Loves". A friend shared this with me a while back and I clearly remember trying to fight back tears in a Starbucks in downtown DC. I didn't succeed. This is beautiful.

He recently re-released The Medicine and it's been a breath of fresh air. Go get it!

"I GOT TATTOOED."

Go read Andria Lindquist's (a Seattle based photographer) radical blog post about getting tattooed. She did a great job of documenting the process and her pictures are amazing. We've never met her but I'm pretty sure we will one day.

Waimea Bay Panoramics

Went for a jog at Waimea Bay the other evening and it was sorta amazing. Here are some panoramics I snapped with my iPhone:

HALEIWA BOWLS

The North Shore just got a little more amazing! Our good friend Sam just opened up a rad Acai bowl/smoothie shack right in the middle of Haleiwa (across from Matsumoto's Shave Ice and next to Matahari). We had the privilege of being his first ever customers and we're calling it the best bowls we've ever had! Stop by and devour a healthy bowl of amazingness asap.

I had the Green Bowl. Brocolli, spinach, and ginger. Legitimately healthy!

Kainoa's North Shore Bowl

Clark Little Gallery Grand Opening

Our good friend (slash my boss) Clark Little recently opened his second gallery in our hometown of Haleiwa. He kicked things off with a bang this past Saturday evening. The night included food, beverages, live music, a silent auction and a killer raffle. All proceeds benefiting community organizations (Kokua Hawaii Foundation, Mauli Ola Foundation, Waialua High, Intermediate & Elementary School, and Sunset Beach Elementary). There was a huge turnout and everyone was stoked, including the bossman!
